Pressure washing FAQs
Common questions before you book.
How often should I get my patio or driveway cleaned?
We recommend having patios and driveways professionally cleaned at least once a year. Properties that stay shaded, are prone to algae or are close to trees may benefit from more frequent cleaning to keep surfaces safe and looking their best.
Is pressure washing safe for all surfaces?
Not all surfaces are suitable for high-pressure cleaning. We assess every job beforehand and use the appropriate pressure and equipment so surfaces are cleaned safely without damage.
Can pressure washing remove oil stains or black spots?
Pressure washing combined with the right treatments can reduce or remove many oil stains and black spot lichen. Some deep-set stains may require repeat treatments, depending on the surface and how long the staining has been there.
Do you need access to water or electricity?
We usually connect to an outside tap. If that is not available, let us know and we will find a solution. Our equipment is petrol-powered, so we do not usually need electricity.
Will pressure washing damage my pointing or grouting?
We use adjustable pressure settings to avoid damaging delicate areas. If pointing or grouting is already loose or failing, we will flag it before cleaning and proceed with caution.
Can you clean during winter or bad weather?
Yes, we work year-round and can clean in light rain or cooler temperatures. In heavy storms, frost or unsafe conditions, we may need to reschedule.
Are you insured for pressure washing?
Yes. Wight Cleaning Co is insured for the exterior cleaning services we carry out. Insurance documentation is available on request.
What areas do you cover for pressure washing?
We cover the Isle of Wight, including Newport, Ryde, Cowes, East Cowes, Sandown, Shanklin, Ventnor, Bembridge, Seaview, Wootton, Yarmouth, Binstead and surrounding areas.
